1.Water Leakage Detection Principle

The precise positioning leakage detection system is composed of a sensor cable for detecting liquid leakage and an embedded controller with positioning display alarm. When a leak occurs, the controller detects the change of the electronic signal of the induction cable, and after processing by the microprocessor, it displays the precise location of the leak, and at the same time starts the alarm.

 

The inductive cable consists of four different types of wires implanted in a special polymer. The two coloured wires are low resistance surface insulated wires; the two black wires are processed from a non-metallic conductive polymer, whose resistance per unit length has been precisely processed and is of a constant value, and which is highly corrosion- and abrasion-resistant.

3. Application Examples

Large precision air-conditioners are usually installed in the server room, and air-conditioner humidifiers, water supply pipes, etc. may lead to leakage. Coupled with the laying of anti-static movable floor, the leakage under the floor is more difficult to detect. The floor is generally arranged under a variety of cables, sockets, etc., once the liquid leakage of large areas may lead to unpredictable and serious consequences.

 

Leak detection system can provide a variety of interfaces, convenient access to the centralized monitoring system or network management system in the server room. The controllers all provide RS485 communication interfaces and also provide network communication interface connection.

 

A location alarm system is recommended for medium-sized server rooms or those with multiple air conditioners and multiple water sources. This system not only quickly detects the occurrence of a leak, but also accurately reports the location of the leak, making it very easy to locate the water source and the leak.

 

In case of machine rooms with large area, large machine rooms composed of several scattered small machine rooms, or water sources are scattered, the monitoring network can be constituted by using inductive cables, which can directly display the alignment diagram of the leaking cables on the floor plan of the machine room and accurately locate the location of the leaking cables on the floor plan, which is convenient for troubleshooting, and at the same time, it realizes the centralized monitoring, alarming and processing.
